Swedish Massage
A Swedish massage is a common, full-body therapeutic technique designed to relax the entire body, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension. You may request light-to-firm pressure and we will provide the gentle and flowing strokes, along with kneading, tapping and friction, to soothe muscles and boost well-being. At Blue Aura we are not Swedish but we understand the Swedish techniques and the indended results.
Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu is a form of massage that utilizes the hands, thumb or other body parts to apply direct pressure to various points or channels in the body. Shiatsu massage is frequently referred to as the "healing massage" because it focuses on triggering known pressure points rather than caressing muscles. Our Blue Aura therapists will usually perform the massage through loose clothing and the Shiatsu massage technique does not use oils.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic technique focusing on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Unlike Shiatsu massage that focuses on pressure points, deep tissue massage uses slow, firm strokes and direct, intense pressure. Blue Aura clients requesting deep tissue massage are looking for a thereapist who knows how to treat chronic aches, muscle tension and sports injuries by breaking down 'adhesions' (a.k.a. rigid scar tissue).
Combination Massage
A combination massage is a customized, full-body session that blends two or more distinct massage techniques - commonly Swedish relaxation massage and deep tissue massage - to simultaneously promote relaxation and relieve targeted muscle tension. Twin Massage
A twin massage, often called a "four-hand massage", involves two Blue Aura massage therapists working simultaneously on your body in a choreographed, synchronized manner. By utilizing double the therapists, it offers deeper relaxation, increased circulation and enhanced stress relief, as the body is essentially covered by four hands at once. The Blue Aura twin massage is renowned for delivering the highest levels of satisfaction and stress relief in the shortest time. Prenatal Massage
A prenatal massage is a therapeutic, specialized massage designed for pregnant individuals to alleviate pregnancy-related discomforts like back pain, swelling, and stress. Performed by Blue Aura's trained therapists, these sessions use gentle, safe techniques - often in a side-lying position with supportive pillows - to enhance circulation and improve sleep, usually starting after your first trimester.
